About the Practitioner

Cindy Hanlon

Training:

I trained at Healing Hands in Escondido, CA, and Vitality in Carlsbad, CA.  I'm also a certified Reflexologist through the International Institute of Reflexology.

Experience:

I began working as a massage therapist for a chiropractor in 1989.  I decided to become self-employed 5 1/2 years later as I saw there was a need for people to be able to receive their massage in their own home as they were no longer able to drive, or were handicapped, or simply preferred not to drive following a session. Thus began my passion of helping entire families, MS and handicapped clients, post surgical patients, geriatric, and those navigating oncology treatments as well as those in physically or mentally demanding vocations.  However, I no longer do out-calls unless I need to help someone who is unable to travel and is house-bound due to medical reasons.

Philosophy:

Massage techniques can be adapted to accommodate a client's age and situation and I use a variety of styles to address those needs. I incorporate circulatory massage, myofascial release, deep tissue, foot reflexology, cupping, range of motion, and lymph drainage as well as very light touch if needed.  I believe that people at any age can improve their health and fitness level. Consistent good habits along with good nutrition and appropriate massage work are a key place to start.

Ethics

As a member of ABMP I am required to maintain the highest standards of professional conduct and I strictly adhere to the ABMP Code of Ethics.

Purpose:

Being instrumental in an improvement in a person's well-being is a joy to me!

Hobbies:

I walk almost daily as a way to stay fit and I enjoy a good mountain trail.  I also enjoy good quality organic foods and cooking gluten-free.

Motto:

My Motto in life?  Keep it Simple!  God Provides!
